3rd Annual Rex Manning Day Block Party

South Street Art Mart is hosting their 3rd Annual Rex Manning Day Block Party on Saturday, April 12th from 12:00 p.m. (noon) to 7:00 p.m. at the corner of 4th and South Streets! Featuring live music from The Aunties, Petrol, MAAFA, and more, this event is a tribute to Rex Manning, a character from the ‘90s cult classic film Empire Records, and 2025 also celebrates the film’s 30 year anniversary. Some of South Street’s favorite local businesses will be providing street food, drinks, records to rummage through, and more, including MilkBoy, Puyero, and Repo Records.

South Street Art Mart has been selling locally sourced independent art from over 180 Philadelphia creators since 2019. Owned and operated by Nicole “Taped off TV” Krecicki and Nicole “Night Owl Designs” Wiegand, South Street Art Mart has hosted Rex Manning Day events in the South Street neighborhood for many years. This year’s block party will take place on the 500 block of South 4th Street, centered around South Street Art Mart at 530 South 4th Street.
