Alternate Worlds

Pap Souleye Fall

April 23 – May 5

Anderson Hall, 3rd Floor, Gallery 302

333 S. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA

The Museum Studies department at University of the Arts, in partnership with the Inspiration Lab (iLab) Program, is happy to present a newly curated installation by artist Pap Souleye Fall. Alternate Worlds explores the meshing of different worlds and identities through art and multimedia. This installation intends to bring the different worlds of Fall’s work together and create an entirely new space in between.

With hopes to allow visitors into Fall’s different worlds of creation and the multiverse of Dead Pixel, we invite you into this space to expand your understanding of the different worlds you inhabit.

First Friday reception is May 3rd, 5 – 9pm.

Pap Souleye Fall is a Senegalese-American Artist and Uarts 2017 Graduate. Through sculptures using recycled materials from his time at the Recycled Artist in Residency (RAIR) Program, or video work of his character Dead Pixel that he creates with and performs as, Fall’s art encompasses different spaces, and different worlds entirely.

The iLab artist residency program at University of the Arts focuses on advancing emerging and mid-career contemporary artists’ individual practices through providing studio space, time, and resources. One of their current artists in residence, Pap Souleye Fall, partners with the UArts Museum Studies program to bring you this installation.
