An Atria x DVAA Artist Talk with Jihan A. Thomas

Atria will be opening up their doors to the public again for Thomas’ opening reception! Join us from 4-5pm on February 15th on their fifth floor gallery for an artist talk and light bites.

Over the last few years, Thomas has explored the relationship between the black body as a landscape of restoration and self-preservation. At this reception hear from the artist herself on how the Black figure can “feel” unbothered and unburdened on this planet.

DVAA partners with Atria to present several exhibitions throughout the year featuring the artwork of DVAA members in their fifth floor gallery. Because Atria serves a high-risk community, please keep in mind you may be asked to wear a mask or the reception date may change based on current pandemic or influenza rates within the Philadelphia area.
