Approved Textiles’ Artist in Residency program gives artists the space, materials, and financial support to experiment with textiles in new ways. The inaugural resident, Camilla Mustard, brings her hand-painted approach to fabric, reducing water waste while creating one-of-a-kind yardage. The residency highlights the intersection of craft, sustainability, and slow fashion, with exclusive fabrics available for purchase and public events to engage the community.

Gallery Opening (March 7, 6–8 PM): Experience Camilla Mustard’s full collection in a gallery-style setting at Approved Textiles (710 S. 4th St). All thirteen hand-painted fabrics will be on display and available for purchase.

Artist Talk (March 22, 4:30–5:30 PM): Camilla Mustard and co-founder Matthew Addonizio discuss the inspirations, process, and impact behind A Love Letter to Water. Space is limited; RSVP required.

Painting Workshop (March 22, 6–8 PM): Collaborate with Camilla to create a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted bandanna or shawl. Limited slots available to maintain a mindful, intentional experience. *Fee Applies

Closing Party (March 30, 4–6 PM): Celebrate the residency’s impact and the future of sustainable, ethical textiles with an evening of community and conversation at Approved Textiles.
