Botanical Drawings: Leaves, Flowers & Insects (ages 7-12)

Nature is a great subject for drawing.  It’s interesting and it’s not perfect.  After a quick warm up, we’ll practice drawing some insects. Which insect do you like? Let’s look at some favorites: dragonfly, butterfly, moth, firefly, bee, lady bug. Let’s name the parts of the insect: abdomen, thorax, head, antennae, legs, wings. Next we will use our powers of observation to draw a branch with some leaves on it to create a home for your favorite insect. From 10:00-11:00am at Project Most Community Learning Center.
