Father Bingo, a musical project from local bassist Mike Lebovitz, is celebrating the 20th anniversary of their debut album, “Hygienic Productions,” with an extraordinary rock show. This multimedia event is set to take place at PhilaMOCA on March 28, 2024. It will be a half hour like none other!

“Hygienic Productions” is a gripping concept album that tells the 100% true tale of a 1940s sex hygiene film mogul’s rise and demise. When it landed in 2003, it changed indie music forever. Yet despite the album’s influence and healthy activity on filesharing services, Father Bingo never played any shows to support it: the technology to fully realize the performance wasn’t there. But now it is. Lebovitz has actualized the live show, and it is spectacular. It features the album performed in its entirety with each song accompanied by a video presentation. Many special guests pop on the stage throughout. There’s even a costume change! And there’s also a recurring, floating cartoon head that deserves mention. The show is breathtaking and a perfect complement to the album. “I thought it would be boring,” said Mike’s mom, “but it was well done and held my attention the whole time!”

Father Bingo’s set is about a half hour long, and the evening is supported by opening acts A Victim of Good Times (indie rock) and Honey, I’m Homeless (punky pop rock). Do not miss this audio/video extravaganza for the eyes and ears!

Father Bingo will perform “Hygienic Productions” live at PhilaMOCA on Thursday March 28, 2024.

One night only!

Nothing like it ever before, nothing like it ever again!
