Organization Details:
Founded in 1974, Musicopia’s mission is to provide equitable access to music education and enrichment, encouraging self-confidence, global awareness, dedication and joy in Pre-K to 12th grade students and their communities.
Launched in the Fall of 2007, Dancing Classrooms Philly’s mission is to foster self–esteem, social awareness, mutual respect, teamwork and joy in young people and their communities through social dance education and performance.
Musicopia and DCP joined forces in 2012 to create a strategic alliance to provide both organizations with a more efficient infrastructure while advancing their missions and community impact. Serving over 20,000 each year, our organizations are guided by the shared vision to use the power of the Arts to transform the lives of ALL children and youth.
