The Delaware County Symphony continues its 2023-24 season with three German masterpieces. Scheduled for Sunday, December 3 at Neumann University’s Meagher Theatre, the concert, Aus Deutschland, includes Beethoven’s Pastorale Symphony and a rare performance of Clara Schumann’s Piano Concerto by pianist, Anna Kislitsyna.

Each concert of the Delaware County Symphony’s Cultural Celebration season highlights music from a particular region. Audiences are sure to enjoy the opportunity to experience the rousing Overture to Tannhäuser by Wagner, along with one of Beethoven’s most beloved symphonies. The intimate atmosphere of Neumann University’s Meager Theatre provides a unique opportunity to hear these wonderful works up close. Ms. Kislitsyna, an internationally renowned concert pianist, is well known to local audiences. She holds faculty positions at Haverford College and the Nelly Berman School of Music and maintains a performing career that includes regular visits to Carnegie Hall and concerto appearances across the country. Find out more about the pieces featured at this concert by attending Meet the Music, a free, pre-concert lecture presented by Neumann University Music Professor, Dr. Richard Sayers, at 2:00 PM.
