LOTO Poster (13 x 19 in)

Celebrated Philadelphia performer Severin Blake premieres their first solo work, Labyrinth Of The Other (LOTO) – a queer reimagining of the Minotaur myth. A company member of immersive theater collective Applied Mechanics, Severin Blake has spent years meditating on this ancient Greek story – an interspecies child, othered by the world and imprisoned in a maze. Part performance, part immersive ritual, LOTO asks: Who are we beneath the mask of the monster? Who gets to define what the word monster means? LOTO is a ritual container for personal and collective healing. LABYRINTH OF THE OTHER  is an intimate immersive theatrical experience led by performer Severin Blake. Audience members may choose to shape their journey from a menu of “intentions” – deciding for themselves what path they would like to take through the narrative.

This piece is optionally ambulatory.
