Saved From Extinction: The Wine Tasting Class

Wine School of Philadelphia has launched a new class titled “Saved From Extinction: 7 Grapes That Rose from the Dead.” The course examines seven grape varietals from France, Italy and Spain that were nearly lost. Winemakers revived the grapes, which are now grown in vineyards worldwide.

Participants will learn about the history, winemaking techniques and flavors of the varietals. The class includes wine tastings and a discussion of preservation efforts.
