Sublimate and Heat Press Mugs
COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course is a comprehensive introduction to using the Sawgrass sublimation printer, software and ink. In this class you will be sitting down with MakerSpace Manager Evan Ludwig, who will be teaching you how to set up our Sawgrass printer, how to print your designs, and how to use our heat presses to transfer your design on to a mug!
He’ll go over:
- Introduction to what Sublimation is and basics of how it works
- How to use the Sawgrass Printer plus its software and the Heat Presses
- What materials can and can’t be used with Sublimation
- Different settings to the machines
- Safety and clean up
This is a great chance to see what options are available to you with this amazing tool. Bring your project ideas and chat with Evan. Materials will be provided. You’ll want to take notes, so don’t forget to bring a pen and pad.
Members – This class is a REQUIRED course for you to be allowed to use the Sublimation Printer and Heat Presses independently in the future.

- Blank Mugs (provided)
- Sublimation Paper (provided)
- Notebook and Pen to create image OR (not provided)
- .JPEG or .PNG file for mug (on flash drive) (not provided)
