In 1981, American architect I. M. Pei was asked by the French president to redesign parts of the famous Louvre Museum in Paris, home to the Mona Lisa and now famous for Pei’s glass pyramid at its center. Award-winning biographer Jeanne Walker Harvey, author of The Glass Pyramid, will share the story of Pei’s problem-solving and persistence. Then she’ll guide the group in a hands-on activity where you’ll construct your own mini-Louvre pyramids from paper! Advanced registration required.
