We Are Free, No Longer Bound The Musical is the story of Juneteenth told with cultural and historical integrity. Audiences will journey from the West Coast of Mother Africa, through the ending of enslavement in the United States, and on to the victory and celebration of Juneteenth becoming a national holiday. Through dance, drumming, song, jazz, spoken word, and rap, viewers will further understand the sacrifices that were made to end slavery in this country, as they experience the depth and breadth of the invaluable contributions of arts and culture made to the world via the African American experience, with a cast that ranges in age from 8 to 80.
